Our Artisans
Centuries of Tradition
How It's Made
Gather the Clay
Red alluvial clay from Bankura's riverbeds, mixed with paddy husk for structure.
Shape by Hand
No moulds, no machines. Each piece is coiled, pinched, and carved by a master.
Fire in the Kiln
Wood-fired kilns reach 900°C â giving terracotta its signature warm earth colour.
Paint & Finish
Natural mineral pigments applied with goat-hair brushes, the same way as always.
